(Montgomeryville, PA – July 31st, 2013) LumenOptix™, a leading designer and manufacturer of specification-grade lighting solutions for retrofit applications, proudly announces the appointments of Stan Katz to the position of Director of Engineering, Dennis Pickelsimer to Director of Sales, and Preston Matthews to Western Regional Sales Manager.
Stan Katz
An industry veteran with over 20 years of proven expertise in the product design and engineering disciplines, Katz has been appointed to the position of Director of Engineering, where he is responsible for the company’s hands-on product design, engineering management, and product development functions. Prior to his appointment, Katz was Director of Engineering and Product Development for Renova Lighting Systems and held previous positions in design, engineering, and product development with such companies as Cooper Lighting and Baldinger Architectural Lighting. A member of numerous industry associations including ASME, IDSA, IES, and CMG, Katz holds a B.S. in Environmental Design & Interior Planning from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Industrial Program from New York City’s Pratt Institute.
Dennis Pickelsimer
A veteran of the lighting industry since 1989, Picklesimer is responsible for overseeing the activities of the entire inside and outside sales team as Director of Sales for LumenOptix and manages the company’s sales performance, budgeting, and forecasting as well as decisions related to sales strategy and mix. Prior to joining LumenOptix in 2011, where he held such key roles as Western Regional Sales Manager and National Accounts Sales Manager, Picklesimer served as Vice President of Sales for California-based Stellar Sales and as a National Account Sales Manager for Simkar. He also served as Vice President of Sales for an electrical contracting firm as well as a Territory Manager for a large, multi-state distributor. A 1986 graduate of the Marine Corps with a degree in Engineering, Picklesimer became LEED-AP certified in 2004 and brings extensive experience in the sale and design of energy-efficient lighting upgrade solutions to LumenOptix.
Preston Matthews
Appointed to the position of Western Regional Sales Manager, Matthews brings over 30 years of expertise in the lighting industry, including hands-on field experience as an electrician, owner and founder of Light Bulbs Plus, and in Regional and District Sales Management roles for such companies as CEW, CED, and Simkar. Having held positions within the manufacturer, distributor, contractor, and agency rep sectors throughout his career, Matthews brings a broad-based spectrum of industry experience and perspective on the energy-efficient lighting arena to LumenOptix. A well-traveled professional, Matthews attended the University of Texas at Austin and has responsibility for the company’s largest geographic territory.
