John D. Green, P.E., LC has founded Lambda 530 Consulting, providing lighting industry expertise to help companies optimize complete lighting systems and controls, resolve field issues, and reduce legal/financial exposure in product-related accident investigations.
With broad experience in codes, standards and legislative activities, John can also provide valuable input on current and future lighting product development arising from IES, NEMA, ANSI, IEC and UL requirements as well as state and federal regulations.
John has held the roles of Manager of Codes & Standards/Government Affairs for Eaton Cooper Lighting, General Manager at PCI Lighting Controls and Senior Engineering Manager at Holophane/Acuity Brands. In these positions, he developed a strong record in energy legislation participation, standards development, ballast design, power systems analysis, materials testing and resolution of EMC/EMI issues.
Leveraging his expertise in lighting technologies, fire scene/evidence reviews, depositions and preparation of discovery material, John has helped navigate numerous accident investigations to positive conclusions.
John has been awarded numerous patents in electronics, emergency backup systems, controls, testing procedures and laboratory metering.
