Barry Dixon Sr. passed away on November 19, 2011 in Chicago, IL. He was born on March 21, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio and started his career in the lighting industry with Crouse Hinds in 1971.  In his forty years in the lighting industry, Barry was an Agency Principle and held many sales management positions with Cooper, Genlyte and most recently P&K Tubular Products.

He is survived by Mary, his wife of 45 years; devoted father to Barry Jr. and his wife Jennifer; Greg and his wife Cherise; Julie and the late Jennifer; brother of Gregory (Skip) and the late Sylvia Krasner. Sons follow Barry’s career in lighting with employment with Acuity and Philips.

Barry was greatly supportive of his grandchildren's sporting activities and enjoyed being with family at holidays and vacations. He was an avid golf player and a lifelong racquetball player. Barry faithfully attended daily mass and practiced his faith as Chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL.  Barry was laid to rest on Monday, November 28th in Cincinnati, OH.  Charitable donations can be made to Livestrong.org and Epilepsy.org.
