Position: VP Sales, CIMCON Lighting

Location: Boston, MA

GOALS

Achievement of company’s aggregate sales goals through CIMCON’s Go to Market channels.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the plan and execution strategy, including the components of Customer Identification, Customer Acquisition and Customer Retention, to achieve the company’s sales goals.
  • Define the sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Create a culture of success and over-achievement of company goals.
  • Define optimal sales force structure and hire and develop the appropriate sales staff.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable the sales staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • Manage the sales teams and channel partners and other resources to deliver revenue growth.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and pipeline status; prepare and manage sales expense budgets; maintain accurate records in CIMCON’s CRM including information related to customer and prospect interactions
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in nurturing and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Drive CIMCON’s recognition as an employer of choice and a sales force that top sales people want to join.
  • Administer sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering unrelenting attention to customer service.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback as a member of CIMCON’s leadership team.
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful lead generation, lead nurturing and channel and partner programs.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and develop key relationships; leverage existing industry contacts as potential customers and purchase influencers.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have lighting industry experience including direct sales to utilities and municipalities.
  • Previous experience in building a high performance, consultative sales team and achieving aggregate and personal sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, product and company presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Significant travel (primarily US-based)
