Specification Sales Manager-Soraa

Soraa is a large, well-funded Silicon Valley, CA startup, backed by Khosla Ventures and NEA.  Founded by Shuji Nakamura, Nobel Prize winner and inventor of the blue LED, we manufacture game changing GaN on GaN LEDs for use in our own specification grade lamps and light engines.

We are looking for a Specification Sales professional to continue developing our agency sales force and calling on the design/specification community.  Soraa’s great brand, leading technology, and unequaled products have generated an overwhelming response.  This position will be influential in continuing our growth with an excellent starting salary and incentive program.  Minimum 50% travel required out of a major east coast market: NY, Baltimore/Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, or Atlanta.  Position can be home-based (within the East Coast territory).

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Train and support agency sales force.
  • Perform sales calls on lighting designers, architects, engineers, and end users, as necessary.
  • Ownership of specification sales relationships.
  • Operate with the sales team to define and achieve sales goals.

Experience and Skills:

 

  • Lighting industry experience calling on and closing specifications with the design community preferred.  Experience in lighting design, architecture, and interior design also considered.
  • Must enjoy and be an excellent presenter.
  • Desire to satisfy the customer through support and follow-up.
  • LED experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Salesforce proficiency desired.
  • B.S/B.A degree in Business Administration or Marketing
