Lumenetix designs and builds the industry’s most advanced tunable color modules for general lighting applications and has new, ground-breaking products slated for introduction in 2016.  To help us continue our growth, we seek an experienced and well-connected Specifications Sales Manager on the West Coast who will complement our Specification Sales Manager resident in New York City. The ideal candidate will couple their deep relationships with the design and specifier community in the major cities of the Western United States with a strong knowledge of the lighting control landscape.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for development, implementation of the specification sales strategy targeting designers, specifiers, architects, engineers and interior designers to meet sales objectives within the region
  • Assists the design community in assessing project control options
  • Reports design community feedback to product innovation cycle
  • Works with internal resources and fixture OEMs to identify, capture and close projects
  • Responsible for sales budgets and forecasts
  • Reports on sales activity and ensures timely internal follow-up

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in specification sales to, and strong personal relationships with, lighting designers, specifiers, architectural firms, major electrical contractors and interior designers
  • Knowledge of lighting control standards such as Lutron Ecosystem, DMX, DALI, as well as control systems from Crestron, Vantage, Leviton and ETC
  • Interest and knowledge of the role of lighting in a connected world (Internet of Things) and the nascent “standards”
  • While the city of residency is open, the job will require travel, estimated at 60-75%, to the major cities in the Western United States.
  • Proficient in MS office, web-based tools and general CRM programs.
