SOLID STATE LIGHTING REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

US CENTRAL & WEST REGION

 

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Endicott Research Group (ERG) has been in business since 1979. ERG designs, develops and manufactures power conversion devices used to power cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) and light emitting diodes (LED) used for liquid crystal display (LCD) backlighting. ERG is characterized as a stable, profitable company.  The company has long-tenured employees and a history of successful market share participation in the display backlighting market. ERG is specialized in the design and manufacture of DC power supplies and has identified the SSL market as a strategic market for business expansion and growth. As such, ERG is expanding design and manufacturing capabilities into AC power supplies for the SSL market. The ERG LIGHTING Division of ERG has been created to focus on SSL products.

The company is collaborative with open communication across departments. Manufacturing, engineering and sales are internally vertically oriented. ERG has two manufacturing plants, one in Mexico and the other in their Endicott, NY headquarters. Engineering, product development and customer technical support are key internal core competencies. Additionally, ERG sources SSL products through an exclusive distribution agreement with an OEM SSL driver manufacturer.

PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Solid State Lighting  Regional Sales Manager is responsible to drive sales and new opportunities in the SSL driver market, to establish new regional opportunities and develop new business relationships within the assigned region.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customers and Application Engineering:

The Solid State Lighting  Regional Sales Manager will work closely with application engineering and customers as necessary to drive sales and develop new opportunities and relationships.

  • Engineering & Manufacturing:

The Solid State Lighting  Regional Sales Manager will be responsible to collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing in planning the design, development and delivery of SSL products that meet market requirements and also to support customer calls, electronic trade shows and conventions, and development and delivery of product training presentations.

BASIC ACTIVITIES

  • Establish territory sales goals, plan and conduct sales presentations and seminars.
  • Routinely meet and correspond with customers and ERG Headquarters
  • Attend/Exhibit industry and/or regional trade shows and conventions.
  • Enhance sales and technical skills through participating in seminars.
  • Assist VP of Sales and Marketing in various functions.
  • Provide updated reports on territory sales revenues, quote status, sample status, rep evaluation, lead status, major account status, project status and territory forecasts.
  • Attend and participate in company meetings with prepared data.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or BA degree in sales-related field of study
  • Five or more years experience in the lighting industry sales
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
  • Basic PC skills
