 Job Description:

This position will be part of a small but growing sales team focused on growing our domestic presence as well as working with some international customers. 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Sales Support Specialist to assist with Quotations, demo requests, order entry SFDC, BP credit reviews and tracking among other responsibilities
  • Candidate will interface on a daily basis with customers.   Strong XLS knowledge a plus, knowledge of SFDC in specific, or other CRM packages a plus
  • Candidate must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities on a daily basis
  • Will be responsible for working with customers to problem solve, assisting in order fulfillment, as well as ensuring overall customer satisfaction
  • Will be working with some transactional type business but also will be required to adapt and learn new areas of business and processes involved.
  • Work closely with the sales team and the customer to provide an efficient and comprehensive service; establish and maintain solid relationships.
  • Assist the sales team with the development and growth of business with new and existing customers.
  • Provide sales administration and support to the function, working closely with the sales team.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the company and its products/services.
  • Assist the Sales team in the preparation of quotations for customers.
  • Create sales orders upon receiving the purchase order from customers (if applicable).
  • Provide and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly reports provided by the sales team.
  • Assist the Sales team in identifying sales leads and opportunities, providing relevant analysis of opportunity and information relating to the lead.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant degree program along with at least 4 years of prior sales support experience or 8-10 years of work experience in sales support (with no degree)
  • Prior knowledge and experience with product sales: manufacturing experience a plus
  • Candidate must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities on a daily basis
  • Must have strong communication skills and professional business acumen – lots of customer interaction required 

 Preferred: 

  • Strong XLS knowledge a plus, knowledge of SFDC in specific, or other CRM packages a plus.  
  • Prior experience with lighting products a definite plus
