Reporting to:   Vice President, Sales

Location:         Washington DC to Florida (Home based)

Salary Range (Depending on Experience and past earnings history):  90-120k base + 30% bonus + car and expenses.  Full Benefits.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Regional Sales Manager – Southeast is responsible for:

  1. Supporting local independent representatives with presentations as well as product and technical direction
  2. Monitoring and reporting sales activities both down to the agents and up to the VP of sales
  3. Acting as the face of Lighting Controls in the region 

SPECIFIC DUTIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate with VP of Sales to:
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Pricing to:
  • Coordinate with Product Management and Sales to:
  • Bachelors in Sales or Marketing, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of comparable sales experience with lighting control panels and/or occupancy sensors
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, IECC and local energy codes and product requirements
  • Develop and execute short, medium and long term strategic sales plans
  • Maintain consistent and continuous communication with independent sales representatives
  • Drive sales through specifying engineers and electrical contractors into new construction and building upgrade opportunities by performing educational sales presentations
  • Manage company resources to ensure positive outcome of business development opportunities
  • Ensure consistent communication of our product offering and positioning
  • Support agency collateral and sample needs
  • Support the bid & submittal processes
  • Accumulate regional market intelligence and competitive positioning
  • Assist in accumulating initial sales forecasts for new products
  • Provide insight for product/line extensions

Travel:

  • 75% total time out of the office with customers. Remainder of the time in home office supporting business opportunities
