Regional Sales Manager–Flextronics

Purpose:

The Senior Sales Manager of LED Lighting Fixtures will plan and implement commercial and industrial penetration strategies in order to cultivate and capture new business opportunities within the lighting and emerging LED market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the lighting market and work within cross-functional management and operations teams.  NOTE:  Candidates living in the South Central or Mountain regions, i.e. Texas, Colorado, etc. are especially encouraged to apply.

Principle Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills resulting in development of specific, measurable, and timely account planning activities
  • Leverage extensive industry relationships to penetrate LightWild, Lusio lighting products into commercial, industrial, cold storage, warehouse, and manufacturing vertical markets
  • Develop competitive sales strategies by understanding competitive product offerings, leveraging product differentiation and endorsing value selling principles
  • Architect and communicate sales strategies to channel partners including agent/representatives, distributors and ESCO/service providers
  • Cultivate direct customer relationships, develop effective value propositions, and negotiate to close complex contracts
  • Leverage fluency in financial acumen to provide customer value propositions in key metrics such as ROI, payback, IRR, etc
  • Establish, communicate, and engage internal matrix teams for proposal generation, scheduling of deliverables and overall operational support
  • Represent and provide market exposure for products and services at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Maintain consistent, accurate and timely reporting metrics through CRM tool for purposes of internal tracking, forecasting, and pipeline generation

Minimum (MUST HAVE) Qualifications:

  • Eight plus years of progressive experience in sales / business in the lighting market
  • Four plus years background in lighting fixture sales for high-bay and commercial applications
  • An effective communicator with customers, executives, peers, and subordinates
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and effectiveness
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Well versed in all MS Office applications
  • Extensive experience in owner-directed sales and channel partner sales
  • Track record in large volume sales to customers in the lighting market
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

Preferred (NICE TO HAVE) Qualifications:

  • LED Lighting Experience a Plus
