The lighting industry is rapidly growing and as it goes through this technological revolution, we are looking to strengthen our outside sales team to take advantage of this opportunity. We have an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Manager.
The Outside Sales Manager will be largely responsible for the growth of distribution business in both LED and Metal Halide lamp and ballast sales. The majority of this will be done by working with Venture’s representative agencies in their territory. Additional responsibilities include:
- Contact and secure new business.
- Maintain and grow existing business through sales calls, job site visits, distributor training, trade shows, cold calling, etc.
- Keep abreast on competitors’ products in/entering the market and recommend solutions to management.
- Educate customers on new products, services, and developments.
- Work with agents/customers on promotional plans, new services, etc.
- Focus sales efforts on distributors, contractors, ESCO’s, and end-users.
- Work with marketing team to develop necessary materials.
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field with two to five years’ sales experience.
- Ability to travel 50% or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results focused and a goal driven initiator.
- Strong business and decision making skills.
- Ability to adjust priorities to meet business needs.
- Aptitude for problem solving and determining solutions for customers.
