Outside Sales Representative selling lighting products in N. TX market area: Dallas / Ft Worth based

FULL TIME outside sales position — based in Dallas / Ft Worth area 

Great market / Great potential / Great opportunity for a confident lighting professional in a self directed, autonomous position.

We are an established Manufacturer’s Rep Agency in our 20th year, focused on energy efficient lighting products: we seek a professional self motivated sales person to sell commercial/industrial, commercial multifamily, and residential lighting products.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Must be exceptional self starter, averaging 8 to 12 customer visits daily (40-60 visits per week) to effectively manage large customer territory and drive demand for our manufacturers’ products.  Excellent time management skills / a self motivator focused to achieve business objectives. 
  • 4 year accredited college degree
  • Business/marketing acumen. Technology awareness and understanding. Lighting fundamentals — 1+ years lighting experience preferred. Technical — must understand how electrical things work and basic physics of light and energy. Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies. Familiar with LED technology
  • Athletic personality — fast paced, coordinated high tempo activity to efficiently cover large number of existing accounts while actively developing new accounts.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.  Excellent listening and negotiating skills, problem solver & conflict management skills. Ability to refocus ambiguous situations to successful outcomes. Ability to thrive in a competitive & dynamic marketplace.
  • Successful experience with multiple levels of customers and different business groups.
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Compensation is negotiable for the selected candidate with reimbursable expense budget to offset day to day costs of developing/maintaining account base. 

  • Car allowance (must have reliable transportation) 
  • Open to relocation / relocation expense negotiable.
