Northwest Regional Sales Manager–Halco Lighting

Overview:

Halco Lighting Technologies is a rapidly growing manufacturer of lamps, ballasts and LED fixtures serving industry distributors nationwide. Established in 1974, Halco is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia with additional distribution centers in NJ, OH, TX, CA and AZ. Halco is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Northwest Region to join our team. 

The Northwest Regional Sales Manager is responsible for training and traveling with independent agencies servicing lighting and electrical distributors and lighting showrooms in the following states; WA, OR, ID, WY, CO, UT, NV and Northern CA.

Responsibilities:                                                                 

  • Manage the sales performance of independent agencies
  • Manage existing customer and company programs, penetrate existing accounts and develop new customers in the territory to drive sales and profitability
  • Travel extensively with the sales teams of each agency organization
  • Training with customers and agencies on new product and service offerings
  • Work with area specifiers and engineers
  • Work with senior management to establish and execute a clear and effective plan for growing the customer base
  • Appoint and terminate agencies, as needed.
  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Forecast, anticipate and communicate requirements, trends and variances.
  • Model excellence in customer service, including resolving customer inquiries and challenges throughout the sales cycle
  • Identify customer service areas of improvement and work with other key managers to strengthen customer service levels throughout the organization.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences and other related sales and customer functions
  • Communicate and enforce the company’s policies, procedures and values with all members of the sales organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical / lighting industry in a sales management position working with independent agencies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective closing skills
  • Successful history in achieving significant revenue goals in a distribution environment
  • Highly effective leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Ability to adopt the organization’s culture and practices of superior customer service
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work effectively within an entrepreneurial environment and as a team member
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment
  • High energy with willingness to travel up-to 60%
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
