Job Description
We are seeking a sales manager to develop a strategy and marketing plan, and expand an inside sales team to increase sales to 6,000+ wholesale distributors of electrical supplies nationally. The sales manager will also launch and promote the use of a B2B web portal and select and implement a CRM system. The ideal candidate will have electrical industry background and strong knowledge of the wholesale electrical distribution channel.
Job Requirements
- Three (3) or more years progressive B2B sales experience, including electrical distribution.
- Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and desire to run a business and “own” your own P&L.
- Experience developing a marketing plan and sales strategy, and demonstrated ability to organize, develop and direct a sales team to achieve targets.
- Experience leading an inside (telephone) sales team.
- Experience managing website content and strategic use for business growth.
- Demonstrated ability to present and succeed at the corporate level as well as establish relationships with small and mid size company decision makers and one man shops.
- Strategic ability to sell specialty (non-commodity price sensitive) lighting products.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing a budget.
- Professional experience with a CRM system.
