As part of our aggressive growth strategy, WAC Lighting is seeking an experienced National Accounts Manager to expand our presence deeper within the US Market.

Description:

The National Accounts Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategy through direct sales and partnership with national distribution channels for achievement of sales targets. Their primary focus will entail driving penetration within the hospitality and high end retail market segments.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of WAC’s National Accounts to meet sales targets and increase market share. 
  • Develops and implements sales strategy targeting multiple location and large scale national project business.
  • Aggressively seeks out and pursues new national account business prospects.
  • Supports the upsell and development of existing business currently being serviced through WAC’s Distribution network. 
  • Conducts presentations and negotiations with existing and new accounts and potential prospects including closing on sales opportunities.
  • Develops strong relationships with all decision makers in the national account process including distributors, specifiers, architects, designers, buying groups,  and project managers. 
  • Works with internal support teams to ensure all aspects of project management are completed at a high level of service and within expected timelines.
  • Works with internal support teams to develop and enhance internal infrastructure to support national account business. 
  • Develops & manages sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensures all purchase agreements, contracts and other documentation are completed accurately.
  • Assists in the preparation of inventory requirements and scheduling.
  • Participates in developing new product strategies that meet the strategic sales objectives of the company.
  • Works with customers and internal resources to overcome barriers that might delay project implementation.
  • Develops and maintains reporting on sales activity and implementation of strategic plans. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with 8-10 years of sales management experience in the lighting industry
  • Ability to develop and execute national account strategy for sales results
  • Proven track record of successful achievement of sales targets Understanding of lighting industry, technology and the markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Solid oral and written communication & presentation skills
  • 70% domestic travel
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
