We seek National Account Managers for the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast.

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) leads the company’s efforts to develop, foster, maintain, and expand relationships with large, multi-location clients in the Retail, Hospitality and Commercial/Industrial vertical markets, with an emphasis on the Retail Vertical Market.  The NAM will be responsible for selling Energy Focus products and services to national account clients based within the assigned region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute a national account sales plan in order to achieve and exceed profitable sales revenue objectives for the assigned region.
  • Establish and maintain solid client business relationships resulting in the highest levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention. 
  • Prepare and deliver periodic business reviews.
  • Maintain awareness of industry, competition and market conditions and leverage current client relationships to develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate in contract negotiations in conjunction with the Director of Sales, National Accounts and the Vice President, Sales.
  • Provide reporting and metrics as required.
  • Efficiently and effectively use the sales tools at the disposal of the National Accounts team including but not limited to Salesforce.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We seek a sales professional with an ability to quickly and concisely understand the client’s business, industry, economic model, trends, demand, and others.

You are an assertive individual with a direct selling approach.  You have proven performance in the successful attainment of sustained profitable sales goals.

You are comfortable selling to the decision-making level of the company’s existing and potential customer base, and masterful at relationship management.

Your business acumen and mathematical aptitude are strong.

You move with intent; you embrace a strong sense of urgency and you are highly accountable.  You value integrity.

You are a clear and articulate communicator who is both tactful and direct.

You bring a common-sense approach and ease in identifying issues.  You enjoy driving practical solutions. 

You are organized and you follow-up.

You are technically proficiency, with an intermediate level of experience using SalesForce.com; Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. 

You bring a professional image and the ability to appropriately represent the company both externally and internally. 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years or more of successful selling experience; previous lighting experience is helpful but not required. 
  • Must have experience driving sales in, and managing large accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or other related field is beneficial and highly preferred.
