Blair Companies, a vertically integrated image management leader whose diverse offerings include Lighting, Signs, Millwork and Architectural Imaging for global brands, is seeking a Manager for our Lighting Business Unit, a national lighting distributorship. The Manager will interface directly with Blair’s National Account customers at the corporate level as well as these customers’ individual site locations across the country. Interacting with Blair’s sales force to strategize, quote and close new sales is a primary role. This leader will manage the day-to-day activities regarding Blair Lighting and will have frequent contact with the senior leadership at Blair providing reporting, strategic thinking and presentations regarding these and various other topics on a regular basis and as required.
Designing and laying out lighting plans by providing highly accurate counts, schedules and quotations for these plans while effectively negotiating with prospective customers who include electrical contractors, general contractors and end-users to close the sale, is required. Experience with AGI software is a plus. Cross-quoting customers’ existing quotes from competitors deriving like-for-like product solutions is a must. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to train a staff of lighting project managers on these skills in order to support the growth of the Blair Lighting Business Unit.
Strong communication skills as well as a command of Microsoft Office are required. Experience utilizing MRP systems is a plus. This individual must be able to multi-task efficiently and manage multiple projects, while being a senior escalation point to numerous clients and work closely with Blair’s National Accounts Sales Team to close sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
