LED Product Manager–Hatch Lighting

TITLE: LED Product Manager

JOB MISSION:  The mission of this LED Product Manager position is the management, sourcing, logistics and maintenance of Hatch products to meet our customer needs. This position will work collaboratively with team members while ensuring continuity in product offerings and providing application solutions for customers.  This position is based in the Hatch Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Manage the current and future LED product offerings to meet Company customer needs.
  2. Work with Director of Purchasing and applicable functional managers to establish and maintain adequate stock levels to support the customer demand.
  3. Forecast product demand and prioritize development based on market needs and opportunity.
  4. Maintain relationships with suppliers and facilitate the timely completion of production.
  5. Manages all aspects of product sourcing and supply chain changes including new product development intelligence gathering, supplier sourcing, competitive costing, demand forecasting, pricing, training materials and specification sheets.
  6. Identify potential product sourcing and production partners as needed.
  7. Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing teams.
  8. Create and maintain an engineering road map that sets the priorities for product development to include costing models which identify target margins.
  9. Interact with the lighting industry to identify market opportunities and pricing targets.
  10. Direct Marketing in the creation of literature, packaging, and promotional materials.
  11. Travel to Hatch suppliers and industry events as needed
  12. Other projects as designated by the CEO

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Five to seven years minimum product management/sourcing experience in the lighting or other technical industry.
  2. BA/BS degree or higher.
  3. LED lighting industry experience strongly preferred.
  4. Proven track record of success in achieving corporate goals.
  5. Experience in preparation of business plans.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all types of individuals.
  7. Strong organizational skills with an orientation to detail.
  8. Self-starter with ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  9. Ability to work with others in a “team” environment.
  10. Ability to travel internationally including China.
  11. Literate in the use of computers and base software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
