Inside Sales Specialist–Western Light Source

Western Light Source has an immediate opening for an inside sales position. A successful Inside Sales Specialist will provide unsurpassed customer sales and support the Western Light Source Sales Team. Western Light Source offers new, cutting edge lighting that help our customers solve lighting problems using intelligent ideas. You will use your interpersonal skills to support our distributors and our outside sales team. This position has growth potential within the Western Light Source (WLS) team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and support for our sales team and our distributors
  • Act as liaison between the outside sales force and other functional areas of the company to ensure projects are well managed from quotation through order receipt to product delivery
  • Ensure outstanding support is provided to our customers and outside sales force in accordance with WLS policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for supporting the entire sales process for WLS products including project quotation, pre and post-sales support
  • Receive, review and process orders
  • Follow up on project quotations, document results, and keep the sales team informed of project status
  • Coordinate with internal technical resources to set up and deliver technical data such as specification sheets, approval drawings, etc.
  • Provide distributors with order acknowledgments, estimated ship dates and all applicable transactional information.
  • Coordinate activities related to order changes (change to address, product, price, quantity, etc.)
  • Maintain good relations with prospective and current customers of the company.
  • Handle a variety of special projects as requested
  • Demonstrate strong technical and product knowledge as well as a commitment to continuously improving customer and sales support skills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling into Distribution channels.
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated history of growing accounts through the relationships you create
  • Knowledge of consultative selling and negotiating techniques
  • Demonstrated active listening skills
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Internet Research, and PowerPoint
