Seeking an experienced Global Sourcing Manager responsible to develop and execute a strategy for assigned commodities. Must have 5+ years strategic sourcing experience emphasizing sourcing, negotiation, and managing suppliers in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Seeking experience with electronics, LEDs, and various production parts. Experience in global overseas markets for these commodities is required. Includes project managing the selection, evaluation, implementation, and management of strategic suppliers across multiple sites. Ability to follow a process to complete spend analysis, write RFP’s, analyze data, negotiate, implement and monitor compliance to company wide programs, and ongoing evaluation and management of strategic suppliers.
Accountable for cost savings, supplier reduction, supplier performance, purchased parts inventory, and low cost region spend. This person will work closely with each of LSI’s sites, engineering, and development. Experience in the lighting industry and/or LED markets a plus.
Qualifications include a four year college college degree with a major in Operations, Business or Procurement. APICS or CPIM/CPM certification desirable. Must possess mid to high level PC skills, especially spreadsheet analysis and presentations and MRP experience. Travel estimated at 20 -35%.
