Position Title – CAD Technician
Position summary – responsible for generating various types of drawings for the development of new products and current products in addition to supplying job site project drawing which will including lighting fixtures, wiring layouts and assorted electrical components. This position will support both internal and external customer base and may requires visits to jobsites.
Qualification –
- 6 months to 2 years progressive CAD experience
- Ideal candidate should be proficient in the current release of AutoCAD and familiar with Solidworks / Sketch Up
- Familiarity with NextEngine 3D scanner a plus
- Ability to learn current light software
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols preferred
- Knowledge of National Electric Codes is desired
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit and general lighting a plus
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem solver with technical aptitude to help provide practical solutions
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented
Education –
- Associate Degree in Computer Drafting Technologies
- Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management
