RAB Lighting and Philips Lighting Resolve Patent Dispute

Northvale, New Jersey – RAB Lighting today announced it has settled its patent dispute with Philips Lighting and entered into a license agreement under the Philips Lighting EnabLED Luminaire and Retrofit Bulb program.  Philips Lighting had filed a complaint at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) alleging that RAB Lighting and six other companies who import and sell certain LED-based lighting products in the United States infringe one or more of five patents.  The license and settlement agreement resolves the ITC complaint as to RAB Lighting, and the company has been dismissed from the lawsuit.

“We are pleased that an amicable agreement could be reached with Philips Lighting, and we look forward to continuing to focus on developing and providing new and innovative products and services that meet the needs of our customers,” said RAB Lighting CEO Ross Barna of the agreement.
