
OSRAM SYLVANIA Files Suit to
Enforce Induction Lighting Patents

DANVERS,
Mass., June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- OSRAM SYLVANIA today commenced a lawsuit against
lighting distributor Green Energy Management, LLC for offering to sell
induction lamps that infringe U.S. Patent No. 5,834,905. The action was
filed in the United States District Court for the District of New
Hampshire. OSRAM SYLVANIA is represented in the case by the Holland &
Knight law firm.
"This is the first action in the United States in our campaign to enforce
OSRAM SYLVANIA's patents for the ICETRON induction lighting system," said
Peter Lawler, head of OSRAM SYLVANIA's Low Pressure Discharge business unit.
"OSRAM SYLVANIA is committed to enforcing its intellectual property rights
in the United States and throughout the world. OSRAM SYLVANIA will not
tolerate infringement of its intellectual property rights."
The ICETRON(R) inductively coupled electrodeless lighting system was developed
by OSRAM SYLVANIA. It is the subject of several patents in the United
States and in other countries throughout the world. The ICETRON lighting system
is manufactured by OSRAM SYLVANIA and sold by OSRAM SYLVANIA and its affiliate
OSRAM.

will accompamny the brochure. Market
research if gift is associated, it gets thru to the CEO. Savings bushels of money.

operate to influence the lighting upgrade/renovation market?
Nov 2006 funding was approved. So far the task force meets each week on the phone. 4 face to faces. 40-50 conference calls. Comittment is quite good. Philips person disappeared, Susan Bloom.
